After Christmas Eve dinner at Mom Mom's, Stacy and David had tickets to attend the Christmas Eve Service at Elevation Church, Code Orange Christmas. It was an amazing experience with a rock band, dancers, and a great sermon delivered by Pastor Steven Furtick.
It was another fun time celebrating with the Family at Mom Mom's house this season. We all enjoyed our pizza dinner, and cupcakes from Nona's Bakery!

Liam ready to take on his next mission!
Liam has decided to get back into Cub Scouts this year. The Den visited the Woodlawn Haven Nursing Home to spread some holiday cheer and give out some Bingo prizes. We are very proud of Liam and his willingness to give to his community!

We have a new addition to the Brady family! We took a quick detour by the Charlotte Animal Shelter, and took the long walk down the adoption kennels. Liam was immediately fixated on a little Jack Russell Terrier, named Bandit. After a short meeting in a private room, we decided to rescue him and take him home with us. He was a voluntary surrender from his previous owner and is under 2 years old as best the vet could tell.

Happy Birthday, Liam!
We decided to go for a real tree this year and cut out own down at the RRR Tree Farm in the NC Mountains. After a lot of scrutiny, we finally found a tree worthy of the family room!
Liam was a critical part of the process and helped us measure each tree to make sure it would fit in our home...
Time to hit the road!
The final product!
What better way to spend a mild fall weekend, then climbing around on Grandfather Mountain. We took a long stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway from Boon, NC to Linville, and spent an afternoon exploring the park. Liam had absolutely no fear climbing on high ledges and the swinging bridge to get to the highest peaks.
Breathtaking views from atop the peaks of Grandfather Mountain...

Who cares if we are a mile above sea level???
It is just a swinging bridge!

...my front tooth! Liam got brave and pulled his own tooth last night. The Tooth Fairy was very generous and left him a $5 bill under his pillow!
Liam was featured in a video with the Charlotte Bobcats to demonstrate lay ups with the Youth Basketball Program's Chad Hunt, and Bobcats Assistant Coach Stephen Silas. It was a real honor to be selected and participate in this production. Unfortunately, he was a little too nervous and missed both shots. You can view the full video at the link below.
David ran his first 5k at Spencer Mountain, hosted by the Gaston County YMCA. He beat his personal best by finishing in 29:18, and finished 53rd of 135 runners.

David was invited to participate in a volunteer day with the Charlotte Bobcats Season Ticket Services. It was an eye opening experience as they served over 400 men hot dogs and french fries in a 3 hour kitchen service. We will definitely find ways to support the shelter during the cold winter months.

Tomorrow, we bid farewell to our beloved Buckley! He has been an amazing companion and saw us through the moves, changes, good times, and bad times. He will be missed beyond any words.
Liam had an awesome time at the Bobcats One-Day Clinic at Time Warner Cable Arena. He was on the NBA practice court of the Charlotte Bobcats! The program was run by Chad Hunt, the director of the Bobcats Youth Basketball Program, who also coaches Liam in private lessons. Very proud of his strong effort and amazing skills!

Yes, it is that time of year again! Another crisp fall night has made Dad go a little crazy with the sharp knives! Keeping tradition alive, we carved a pumpkin to make a very spooky looking jack-o-lantern!

Viola! Another spook creation from the Brady family!
Intense game for team Sweden today. A 3-2 win over USA despite being down 2-0 at the half. Liam really stepped up up with two goals in the second half to tie the game and setup the win. Great season with a 6-1-1 record!
Holding down the goal. He had a big save off a corner kick!

Sweden goes 5-1-1 with a tie against Ireland. It was one of the most exciting games of the season, and Liam had a huge save in goal to keep the team from losing. Only one game left!
Sweden moves to a 5-1 record with a 2-0 win over England today. Liam played excellent goal tending and really moved the ball around to help his team get the win.
