The Greatest Show on Earth!

After much persistence, mom and dad finally broke down and got tickets for the circus. What a great show!



I am pretty sure mom and Liam both liked the newest elephant, Barack, who was born in 2009.

Bobcats vs. Blue Devils

The Mount Holly Bobcats go 3-2 tonight with a tough loss to the Blue Devils. Liam was on a roll with 22 points and lots of good defense, but we still came up short at the end of the night.

Basketball Superstar

Liam had an AWESOME game tonight against the Buckeyes....18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. He also nailed a reverse layup running under the basket with 3 defenders chasing him.

Mount Holly Bobcats Basketball

Basketball season is in full swing. Liam has really been turning on the heat, scoring double digits in every game so far. We are very proud of his hard work and dedication!

Gem Mining

We found a good cache of gems at the Doc's Gem Mine in Blowing Rock. Liam patiently worked through a large bucket and discovered many gems including quartz, amethyst, and emeralds. Some are being cut and set for mommy to show off!

Bowling in Boone

No trip would be complete without visiting the Boone Bowling Center. After 3 games, Liam pulled out a win over dad.

Mast General Store

No visit to the mountains is complete without a visit to the Mast General Store in Valle Crucis, NC. Lots of good deals for mom and dad, a bag full of loose candy for Liam, and vintage root beer in glass bottles for everyone.

Hawksnest Tubing

We had an incredible time at the Hawksnest Resort tubing today. Liam was a little nervous at first, but that quickly subsided after our first run.





We managed to create an illegal video with Liam holding the camera on a run down the back slopes.

Best run of the day, according to Liam, was with mommy because they almost flipped on the way down. I think Stacy had a different opinion.

Deep Freeze in the South!

 

It is turing out to be quite a winter in North Carolina. 6 inches of snow, 1/4 inch of ice, and 3 snow days off of school!
